We produce over 21 million gallons of asphalt emulsion every year.  Our emulsion products are used as binders for surface treatments, in cold mix paving and in crack sealing.  Our emulsion business is growing and part of this growth includes many new products.  One such product is HouseGuard™, which is a water based polymer asphalt emulsion used for waterproofing concrete or masonry subsurface foundation walls.  Another is Fast Tack, which is used for aiding asphalt pavement adhesion to underlying surfaces and finally, Fibermat© which is a fiberglass reinforced binding layer used with a traditional chip seal.

Barrett produces asphalt emulsions and polymer modified emulsions through its subsidiary, Midland Asphalt Materials Inc. in New York.  These emulsions are used for virtually every type of paving application including surface treatments, cold mixes and tack coats.  Our emulsions are formulated using select raw materials, tested extensively in our own in-house labs and testing facilities and produced with state of the art plants and equipment.

Michigan
Terry Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Paving Materials, is a recognized leader in the emulsion industry in Michigan. We are certified by the Michigan Department of Transportation to supply numerous products for incorporation into their projects. We supply material to contractors and directly to various government agencies throughout the state. Our products include environmentally friendly ionic and cationic water based emulsions that can be modified with various polymers to enhance their performance properties. Final uses of our products are chip sealing, Micro-surfacing and foundation waterproofing. We participate in the residential housing industry in the US west of the Rocky Mountains through the manufacture and supply of asphalt emulsions for basement waterproofing under the HouseGuard™ name. Our state of the art facility sits in the center of the state with easy access to US 23. As members of the Asphalt Emulsion Manufactures Association we constantly bring forward new products for use in the expanding pavement preservation industry lending credence to our motto, “Tomorrows Asphalt Solutions Today”.

Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana

Our state of the art facility sits just outside Cincinnati Ohio in Hamilton with easy access to a number of highways including I-75, I-275 and I-71.
