New York
Hot mix asphalt production is the backbone of our company.  We produce more than 6.5 million tons every year – 25% of it from recycled materials.  Our plants are strategically located to feed our construction operations and serve our external customers.  Every plant that we operate produces high quality state-approved mixes.  Highly skilled plant operators, experienced quality control professionals, well equipped on-site laboratories and the latest computerized technology allow us to produce to rigid specifications and our regular lab testing assures Barrett customers of consistent quality, durability and performance of our products.

Throughout central and upstate New York, we are the region’s largest producer of hot mix asphalt.  With 13 asphalt plants in nine locations available to serve customers, we have the capacity, expertise and experience to handle any size job from interstate highway projects to airports to city streets and parking lots.  In addition, we provide a substantial amount of hot mix asphalt to other contractors for use in completing their projects.

With an extensive network of quality control and testing facilities, our products are designed, tested and produced to meet stringent criteria in order to facilitate durability, workability and handling.  It is this quality control resource which has allowed Barrett to become one of the largest recyclers of aggregates and reclaimed asphalt material (RAP) in New York State.

Pennsylvania / Maryland / West Virginia
Throughout western Pennsylvania and northwestern Maryland, IA Construction Corp, a subsidiary of Barrett, is one of the region’s largest producers of hot mix asphalt. With eight asphalt plants in Pennsylvania and one in Maryland available to serve customers, we have the locations, capacity and expertise to handle any size job from large complex interstate highway projects to small parking lots. Along with supplying our own construction projects with the hot mix asphalt they need, we also provide a substantial amount of hot mix asphalt to other contractors for use in completing their projects.

All of our plants and mixes are Department of Transportation approved and with our extensive network of in-house quality control and testing facilities, our products are produced to meet or exceed industry standards.

Michigan
Our five (5) hot mix asphalt plants surrounding the greater Detroit area allow us to provide hot mix asphalt throughout the eleven (11) counties in southeastern Michigan. The plants produce a variety of mixes to meet the wide needs of our customers. We supply hot mix asphalt to our own construction crews as well as serving a large and loyal customer base. Each of our plants is equipped with its own quality control laboratory and technician. The plant superintendent and crew are focused on providing the quality and service our customers have come to expect.

Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana
With ten asphalt plants in nine locations throughout the greater Cincinnati market including three locations in Kentucky and eight asphalt plants surrounding the greater Dayton market, Barrett Paving Materials is able to supply all of our own needs in support of our construction activities as well as serving a large external customer base in southwestern Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana. We offer all types of DOT approved asphalt mixes including the new warm mix technology. Our skilled plant operations personnel along with our in-house quality control laboratories which in turn are supported by our world class NACTECH laboratory in Hamilton County, Ohio ensure that our manufactured mixes meet or exceed all specifications. As it is in everything that we do, customer satisfaction is our primary goal.
