New York
Construction aggregates such as sand, gravel, limestone and granite are used extensively in asphalt and concrete paving projects.  In fact, approximately ninety-four percent of asphalt pavement is aggregate; eighty percent of ready-mix concrete is aggregate.  By producing our own aggregates for use in our paving projects, our operations are able to maintain close control over the production process and the quality of the final product.  With integration of the total process from raw materials to finished paving, we control costs, assure timely delivery of services and ensure that we meet the needs of our customers.

For over 50 years, our New York quarries supply the highest quality aggregates to the construction industry.

Barrett operates five stone quarries, a sand and gravel operation along with a top soil pit. Our aggregates meet the strictest standards as set by NYSDOT, NYS Thruway Authority NYSDEC, FAA and the US Army Corps of Engineers. With our in house quality control and testing, we have the resources to ensure that our products meet our customer’s needs.

Our quarries produce both limestone and granite based materials which are suitable for all aspects of the construction market including asphalt, ready-mix and road base.

Pennsylvania / Maryland / West Virginia
Barrett through its subsidiary IA Construction Corporation operates six aggregate facilities producing primarily sand and gravel products throughout northwestern Pennsylvania and southwestern New York. Through our internal quality control and AASHTO accredited testing facilities, we have the resources to ensure that our products meet our customer’s needs along with meeting the strictest standards as set by such entities as PENNDOT, FAA and the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Our aggregate products are suitable for all aspects of the construction market including asphalt, ready-mix and road base.

Michigan
We are currently mining only one of our numerous properties in southeast Michigan. The sand and gravel products produced at our Pleasant Hill Pit are utilized as road base aggregates, shoulder berm, trench backfill, and engineered fill material. Our products are also incorporated into ready-mix concrete and hot mix asphalt. The onsite quality control laboratory and the commitment of our people ensure the high quality and consistency required and expected by our customers.

Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana
Barrett Paving Materials Inc. currently has three limestone quarries and four sand and gravel facilities serving the greater Dayton and southwest Ohio area. As one of the largest aggregate producers in the area we are capable of handling a variety of large construction jobs, while still servicing the smallest building contractor or home owner. We also supply a variety of ODOT and INDOT specification materials to many on and offsite asphalt, ready-mix concrete, block and pre-cast manufactures.
